Grand Celebration of Telugu Language Day at Sri Prakash Synergy School

Telugu Language Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur at Sri Prakash Synergy School, located in Ramaravupeta, Peddapuram, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy, the pioneer of the Vyavaharika Bhasha Movement (movement for the use of spoken Telugu).

The chief guest for the programme was Sri Pamidi Kalva Madhusudhan, a renowned literary personality, senior journalist, and Chairman of Dhatri TV. Addressing the gathering, he said that just as we show immense love and respect towards our mother, we should also show the same love and affection towards our mother tongue. He explained that Telugu is an Ajanta language, in which words can be pronounced clearly and distinctly. He highlighted that different dialects can blend beautifully into the Telugu language and that its yati, prasa, and various literary figures add great richness and beauty to it. He appreciated the efforts of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions for giving great importance to Telugu and contributing to the preservation and promotion of the language.

The school's Academic Coordinator, Mrs. M. Prashanthi, said that learning a language requires effort and that it is the responsibility of everyone to protect and preserve Telugu, our sweet mother tongue.

The school's Senior Principal, Sri M.V.V.S. Murthy, said that although many people consider Telugu to be an easy language, it possesses an enormous vocabulary and includes numerous literary forms such as proverbs, idioms, and other rich expressions. He encouraged students to learn one new Telugu word every day and one poem every week, saying that such efforts would help keep the Telugu language eternal and vibrant.

The school's Director, Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash, emphasized that Telugu has a vast collection of excellent books and numerous Neethi Shatakams (collections of moral verses). He encouraged students to read them whenever they found time and to develop the habit of reading Telugu newspapers regularly. He stressed the importance of understanding and pronouncing Telugu letters clearly and correctly in order to develop a strong command of the language.

The students of Sri Prakash Synergy School captivated the audience with their colourful performances. Students from different classes presented the Telugu alphabet and Tithula Geetham, along with dances, songs, and excerpts from the works of renowned poet Sri Sri. Their performances were greatly appreciated by everyone present.

Following the cultural programme, prizes were distributed by the chief guests to the students who secured winning positions in various competitions conducted for different classes.

The programme was attended by Academic Coordinator Mrs. Prashanthi, Cultural Coordinator Mrs. Usha Chaitanya, literary personalities from Peddapuram, Samarlakota, and Kakinada, parents, and students.

The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of the richness, beauty, and importance of Telugu as our mother tongue and inspired students to take pride in preserving and promoting the language.
