International Yoga Day 2024 https://spss.edu.in/index.php/news/247-organized-by-the-rashtriya-swayam-sevak-sangh-and-isha-foundation https://spss.edu.in/index.php/news/247-organized-by-the-rashtriya-swayam-sevak-sangh-and-isha-foundation

The International Day of Yoga was celebrated with grandeur at Sri Prakash Synergy School in Peddapuram Ramarao Peta, organized by the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh and Isha Foundation.

The program commenced with a ceremonial inauguration by paying homage to Bharat Mata and the founder of Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh, K.B. Hedgewar. This solemn occasion included garlanding the portraits of incumbent president Mohan Bhagwat and hoisting the RSS flag.

Addressing the program, Professor Santhanam Garu emphasized that 'Yoga' encompasses both physical exercises and spiritual practices. He highlighted its deep-rooted presence in ancient Indian scriptures such as the Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Bhagavata, Bharata, and Bhagavad Gita. He also noted that Maharshi Patanjali compiled these teachings into the Yoga Sutras, codifying the spiritual essence of yoga.

Mr. Ch. Vijay Prakash, Director of Sri Prakash Synergy School and District President of the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh, while speaking, said, "No matter which religion we belong to, we all owe allegiance to Bharat Mata. The essence of yoga, with all its transformations, lies in the Yoga Sutras compiled by Maharshi Patanjali, achieving fame as the 'Sadguru'. Jaggi Vasudev, also known as 'Sadhguru', has popularized yoga postures through the Isha Foundation, inspiring many to aim for perfection in English."

In this program, volunteers from the Isha Foundation, hailing from Kakinada, informed the students of Sri Prakash Synergy School about various yoga postures. Similarly, representatives from the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh, including the State President Shri K. Suryanarayana Murthy, demonstrated Surya Namaskar to the students after enlightening them about its significance. Those who performed Surya Namaskar well were awarded certificates of eligibility.

Prominent Advocate P.S.M, Murti (Chinni), Present City President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, RSS representatives, Isha Foundation volunteers, School Academic Coordinators, Professors, and students were also present at the event.
