Bharat ki Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to commemorate 75 glorious years of progressive India and its rich history, diverse population, magnificent culture and great achievements. In his Mann ki Baat program last month, PM Narendra Modi said that the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative was gaining momentum as a people's movement. To perpetuate this momentum SRI PRAKASH SYNERGY INTERNATIONALSchool celebrated RAKSHA BANDHAN at Kakinada branch, Andhra Pradesh, India along with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on 11th August 12, 2022.Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is based on five themes - Freedom, Ideas, Resolve, Actions and Achievements. Under the 'Freedom'theme, the RSS has focused on bringing out stories of unsung heroeswho made sacrifices in India's freedom struggle and celebrating Raksha Bandhan thereafter.The programme commenced by lightening the lamp and offering prayers to Bharat Mata (Mother India). Dr. Chandrasekhar Sankuratri, Founder Chairman of Sankuratri Foundation, Sri Aditya Sharma, Swayamsevakgraced the stage. Dakshin Madhya SahkshetraPracharak (Andhra, Telangana, Karnataka) Sri Bharat Kumar Ji, while addressing the gathering focused on the ideas, programmes and events that have shaped the country and will guide India into the Amrit Kaal , the next 25 years towards the 100th anniversary. Later the festival of Rakshabandhan was celebrated a day before Sravan Pournami where the students tied a Saffron Thread or Raksha Sutra on each other wrists as a sign of brotherhood. Rakhi in RSS is a symbol that Swayamsevaks are there in the society to protect common people from all the evil and anti-social elements present in the society. They also took an oath to defend the Motherland. Along with Synergites, students from other local schools were a part of these celebrations. The students of Nachiketha School (run by RSS)were a special attraction where some tiny tots dressed themselves as the Freedom Fighters and the melodious performance by the SynergiteSriana of grade XII captivated the audience. The Director of Sri Prakash Synergy International School Sri Vijay Prakash Chitturi has taken the active initiation to celebrate and host the event at the campus to promote the cultural nationalism. The Heads of different knowledge centers from the town along with Pracharaks and Swayasevaks were present on the occasion. The celebrations ended with the distribution of National Flags to promote the idea of #HarGharTiranga. Jai Hind
